Product Description

Epoxidized Soybean Oil is used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the second plasticizer and stabilizer. With adding ESBO into PVC, it is able to save cost of main plasticizer and increase light and heat stability of PVC by absorbing HCl that it is released from decomposed PVC. ESBO is made by soybean oil which is natural oil, so it is a nontoxic additive. ESBO is also used to replace volatile solvents in paints to make Biopaint as the requirements of the Clean Air Act. It can also be applied to clean line production or machine with requirement of nontoxic and no corrosion. In addition, it is used in polyurethane foam, printing ink,oil paint, coating, synthetic rubber, and liquid compound stabilizer, adhesive and so on.

Properties:

At normal temperature, the product is light yellow thick oily liquid. It will be solidified when temperature is under 5° C, boiling point: 150° C(0.5Kpa), ignition point: 310° C, viscosity 325mPa. S(25° C), refractive index1.472(25° C), water solubility<0.01% (25° C), solubility of water in this product: 0.55% (25° C), soluble in hydrocarbon, ketone, esters, higher alcohols, slightly soluble in ethanol It's the most widely-used epoxide plasticizor and stabilizing agent of polyvinyl chloride.

Application

The product can be used in all the products of polyvinyl chloride, such as all kinds of food package materials, medical products, different kinds of films, sheet materials, tubing, sealing strip of refrigerator, artificial leather, plastic wallpaper, electrical wires and cables and other plastic products for everyday use. It also can be used as special printing ink and liquid composite stabilizer.
